OUR APPROACH

My name is Nagammei and I am currently in the process of completing my STPM in SMK Taman Ehsan Selangor. The first school was adopted by SASTRA Education Development under the school adoption program with Ministry of Education Malaysia since 2014 with an aim to revamp the counselling department to Human and Career Development Center(HCDC).

I represent as the President of SASTRA Fellowship in SMK TE 2018, where I am responsible to lead my fellows and work collectively with all departments to ensure that SMK Taman Ehsan and the students gets the best education and training to ensure we are equip well. At the beginning of my first semester in form 6, I realized self-confidence and leadership characteristics are something that is very essential when you step into Pre University or in the working world. Although, SASTRA Fellowship has been in my school for some time, I did not manage to enrol due to exams and various other curriculum activities in the past or maybe it was just my fear.

This year, I have joined the fellowship and was appointed as the President which I did not expect. This has given a great chance to know more about myself and the talent and weakness which I hold. Above all that, I managed to overcome my fear to talk in front of people especially when I am doing my presentations in classes or public. I am confident in meeting more people, and also have learn handling management responsibility toward the HCDC center and I am managing my time wisely and effectively. Moreover, I have begun to coach the next batch of champions and I am really looking forward to make this program successful by supporting the fellowship and to work together with all students to create a conducive learning environment in my school. Hence, in future I am hoping more champs would join SASTRA Fellowship so that we could make a great change in our education system because this program could make the students more exposed to the reality world and shall not be fearful to seek for support.

I have an interest in history and looking forward to further my Degree program related to my interest field in a Malaysian public universities in coming future and will always be a great alumni for my school.
