Teach For Malaysia (TFM) is an independent, not-for-profit organization with a mission to end education inequity in Malaysia. The Teach For Malaysia Fellowship is a two-year, full time and fully paid leadership development programme modelled after the extremely successful Teach For America initiative. We seek outstanding leaders who are passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of students in the country’s most underserved areas. These carefully selected individuals – known as Fellows – are placed in high-need schools across Malaysia for two years, working to increase achievement, affect and access for their students and to affect positive, sustainable change within the communities they serve. After two years, Fellows become part of Teach For Malaysia’s Alumni movement, working to make systemic, long term changes in the battle against education inequity. SASTRA is working towards piloting its Human and Career Development Center and Programs Initiatives with TFM Schools Fellows by initiating Seed Funds in stages for Fellows who are keen to explore the HCDC projects  and  contribute towards underprivileged children in rural schools.
